Flower Basket Quilt

The traditional flower basket block has been around for a long time and there are many variations. In this workshop Valerie has one here for you that is very easy to make. She talks you through all you need to know and has plenty of her useful hints and tips, including how to use directional fabric in your design and borders. Fusible Bird pictures with Kate Findlay

Kate Findlay is back and she has designed a small range of bird pictures. They are easy to create with fusible applique – which is really simple as it’s tracing and cutting out! In this workshop she takes us through how to make the Blackbird. Watch Now+

Meet Margaret Lee

We met Margaret from Fabric Affair at the West Country Quilt show last year. They specialise in Donegal Tweeds which are woven in some fabulous colours at a family owned mill on the northwest coast of Ireland. Throwback Thursday

Our Throwback Thursday this month is a project that is just perfect for the summer months. Valerie Nesbitt has designed this fabulous small quilt (approx 55”x45”), using your strip scraps or that jelly roll that has been talking to you – minimum 20 strips but more is good! The nine videos were originally loaded up throughout the day, at hourly intervals and the idea has been to keep the design a mystery until the end! Watch Now+
