Helen loves to create simple modern looking blocks and in this workshop has used another of her favourite things – Oakshott fabrics. She takes you through the simple steps of creating the pieced blocks; then adding some plain blocks and using integrated quilting to create her laptop cover. The project is then finished with simple binding and a velcro fastening. There is a free pattern available for all members and Paid subscribers Watch Now+
Wreaths with Gail Penberthy
Wreaths are for all occasions and events – from Christmas to christenings and with Easter just on the horizon, a great opportunity to decorate your home. All the elements are removable, so you could then just enjoy on it’s own.
In this video, Gail is surrounded by a variety of wreaths she has made and shows you just how easy they are to make, using up scraps of fabric which can be colour coordinated or just completely random.
She also sometimes adds in organza and a bit of glitz – anything goes really. And you could get the children involved too, since the strips are just tied onto the wire floral wreath base. Watch Now+
