New Videos Every Friday

Coil Baskets with Sallieann Harrison

In this week’s video, Sallieann shows you how to make coil baskets out of rope. She shows you how you can sew the coiled rope together with a zigzag stitch on your sewing machine. You can see lots of ideas for the shape – round or oval based, big, small, embellished with lace. As she says, these can be become very addictive! Watch Now+

Japanese Bag with Carolyn Forster

Carolyn also calls this her ‘Dick Whittington’ bag and you can see why! This simple bag folds up easily to store away in a pocket or handbag or purse; just unfold it, knot the handles together and your bag is ready to go. Carolyn has based the bag on a typical Japanese design which she has tweaked to help you sew it quickly and easily. You can make it as complex (with a lining and top stitching) or as simple as you like – just one layer – no separate handles to worry about either.   Watch Now+

Bunny bags with Jennie Rayment

Jennie Rayment shares with us how to make some delightful little bags , which look as though they have ears, so has called them Bunny Bags.  They are very simple to make and the seam allowance on these doesn’t matter – so great for beginners. Jennie also suggests using two different fabrics, so that gives them a bit of variety. Finally tied up with a ribbon. Watch Now+
