Modern Flying Geese

This block was originally designed by Lynne Goldsworthy and is a lovely mixture of modern and traditional. This 9 block quilt comes together really quickly and easily and is a great opportunity for using those larger design modern prints.  Valerie chose a selection of pale grey with an alternative terracotta fabrics that read as plain, although they are tone-on-tone – and had a selection within the quilt.  Workshop notes are available for Paid Subscribers  Watch Now+

Your First Sampler Quilt

Do you have all of your blocks made now for your sampler quilt?  Whether they are 9 or 12 or 15, you now get to design your quilt;  In this video Valerie shows you how to prep your blocks and your sashing strips and corner stones to join the blocks together so that they start to look as though they belong in your special quilt!  Watch Now+ 

Having put on the sashing you can now think about your borders; this could be a single
strip of fabric with cornerstones OR it could be a repeat of the sashing i.e. smaller sections
with more cornerstones – Valerie will talk you through the options,  and then you can decide how to finish your quilt with this design element. Watch Now+

Our Product of the Month for March is this very pretty Paris Romance Table Runner Kit designed by Nicola Whayman.  The kit has been designed to be quick and easy. It uses the current Paris Romance range of fabrics and is exclusive to Creative Quilting

Here’s our top tips for signing in to the new website

1. Paid subscribers must sign in to view the full length videos.
2. You can now sign in using either your username or email address
3. Don’t forget to tick the box by ‘Remember Me’, so when you return to the site again you won’t need to
   login  (unless you’ve logged out!)
4. If you do like to logout, just click on ‘Welcome’ in top right to get to your dashboard, (or tap the 3 horizontal lines if you’re on a phone or tablet) and then click on ‘Logout
