Welcome to 2014 – we hope its going to be a good one for you all with lots of sewing hours (and with this awful weather what else can you do?!)

Use (up) more fabric!

Did you make a New Year’s Resolution to use more fabric?   Well today we can help with another easy scrap quilt from Valerie – using either a jelly roll or co-ordinated strips from your stash – or you could dip into that pack of charm squares.

Textile Moment

Lee Brown joins us with an interesting use of markel pens (plus an old toothbrush) – so another recycling idea for you.

Getting Wet in Wales

Coming up next week will be a (very wet) visit to Cae Hir Gardens in Wales where there was an exhibition of quilts in the garden – and to participate in the 2014 exhibition you just need to contact the organisers. (this video will be live Friday 10th Jan )

A Modern Tower with Oakshott Lakes

We also have an new modern quilt from Valerie using the Lakes 1/8th fabric bundles from Oakshott fabrics that were the subject of the free giveaway back in 2013. (this video will go live Friday 17th Jan so don’t forget to return to the website.)

Why are we getting ahead of ourselves?

Well this is a 5 week month and the next newsletter will be a little later – Friday 24th Jan

Ipads and Tablets

Did Santa bring you a new tablet of Ipad for Christmas – well don’t forget that you can view our films on there too (but you might need a little help from Puffin!) and you might like to think about giving it a little cover too.

There is a video from Jennie about an Ipad cover and a pattern in the Shop to cover your Kindle and many of our patterns are instant downloads so you can get sewing right away.

Happy New Year from us to you

Valerie & Jennie

P.S. We only have 3 Gift packs left!  (and note the special offer on the last Superstar kit)
