Out and About
Encore! – today we get to enjoy quilts by Roy Dickinson and Pat Deacon that were on display back in 2010 at the Westpoint Quilt Show, in Exeter. Both these quilters are graduates of the City & Guilds programme and you can’t fail to be inspired by their work. This annual show is organised by Grosvenor and the dates for this year are 27-29th March – you’ll find more details by clicking here.
For details of other shows that maybe in your neighbourhood run by Grosvenor visit Grosvenor Shows: http://www.grosvenorshows.co.uk/
Don’t forget to check out the Community area of the website and have a look in the Events section for details of the shows and exhibitions that are on near you.
Dyeing anyone?
Have to be careful with the spelling on this one(!) – Angela Daymond joins us again today with some great ideas on spicy shibori with the use of turmeric and/or paprika. Some great results, as you would expect from the lady who does wonderful things with tulip petals.
(For a more comprehensive listing on the subject throughout the website – use the quick link dyeing on the left hand side of the website page)
