Have you had time to pop to the newlook website and check it all out?   If not here’s what you’ve missed this Friday and last:   today we have three pieces for you to watch:

a wander round the quilt shop Creative Quilting (which is based in Surrey – just round the corner from the Hampton Court Palace – more famous recently for the Olympic Bike Races but previously  home to Henry VIII) –  Isabelle shows us round and you get to see some of the lovely fabrics, be inspired by the work on display, and get a look at her current Block of the Month programme – called Vintage Rouge.

Also today you can watch Jennie demonstrating the Embellishing/needlefelting machine that is featured as our current competition.

You can also catch up with block 2 of the programme Your First Sampler Quilt – which is the standard 9 patch and some variations for those with some sewing skills.   November is a five-Friday month so you will get two more blocks this month – hope you can find time to keep up (but obviously the videos continue to be there whenever you want to come back to them).

Last Friday we loaded up the Competition video on the embellishing machine (entry forms and more details can be found on the competition page);entry is open to all who are registered members on the site:

and two workshops from Lynette Harris – our very own Stitch Witch on 3D tree decorations

and shadow appliqué cards.

Both these workshops  are brilliant for both adults and children to do (lots of glue involved) and we have more from Lynette later in the month.

Next week Jennie is going to show you how to do the Double Wedding ring pattern – always a favourite BUT does require some skill and concentrationand is considered challenging.    However there are new rotary cutting templates that will help and as always Jennie has a very comprehensive and clear workshop.

If you are visiting the new website for the first time since changeover you will be guided through an activation process.     The reason for this is that for security reasons  we were unable to transfer  your password;   you can still use the same one though – you don’t have to think up something new!!!    The process is very simple BUT we have been finding that some of the response emails are not arriving – don’t wait – get in touch with us and we can help.

If you are trying to access the site using an Ipad,remember  you do need Adobe Flash to run our videos; if you need help on this  we do have a link through to Iswifter on the FAQ page of the site (at the bottom of the page on the Home Page) which is an app  several of our viewers are using.

If you are just a member on the site – as opposed to a subscriber – you will only enjoy the tasters and tips and some shopping;  to fully enjoy all the site has to offer we now have a couple of gift incentives:

A 3 month membership PLUS a gift package for just £53 or a 1year membership PLUS a gift package for £95 (all plus p&p);
