Out & About:
Autumn is definitely here and with it quilting shows and exhibitions abound; one exceptional exhibition that has been running since March in the middle of Wales is the Kaffe Fassett Exhibition at the Welsh Quilt Centre in Lampeter, and we were fortunate enough to pop in there with the cameras to have a look round; Jen Jones shares some of the quilts and anecdotes with Valerie in our film which is on the site as from today:

The Welsh Quilt Centre is located in the university town of Lampeter, in a beautiful part of the Welsh countryside and the exhibition runs until 2nd November. (and we will be seeing more of Jen in her shop and with her antique quilts later in the month and early in 2014)
Today’s Workshop
Still with Autumn in mind Steve Weeks shares with you how to upcycle a jumper into a warm cloche hat – so you no longer need to be ashamed of the one that got shrunk in the wash!

Autumn also brings to mind patchwork and quilting classes:
Valerie is scheduled to be at Bee Crafty and their lovely new space at Ellingham, just outside Huntingdon, Cambs on Friday 18th Oct working on the Crazy Patchwork pattern – there are still spaces– a quick and easy pattern it’s a great way to use up scraps and/or layer cakes.
More classes scheduled up in Bridlington (now being made famous by David Hockney!) with both Jennie and Valerie joining a range of tutors at The Royal Bridlington House during the rest of 2013 and on into 2014– again for full details check out the classified.
And if you are near the Norfolk/Suffolk borders the Anglia Learning Centre has several tempting weekends/classes on offer.
All these classes are mentioned in our classified section – click here:
