Meet Dorothy Crossley
Dorothy loves to work on pieces that allow her to exaggerate the traditional tapestry stitches which she feels make the whole piece richer and she explains to Valerie that there is a difference between embroidery tapestry and the traditional woven tapestry that she enjoys working on; she can use up to 40 strands of thread to create the texture and flow of colour.
Workshop
Modern hearts quilt with Valerie is simple to do and works with any style of fabric – traditional or modern – and should particularly appeal to those for whom Applique is a four letter word! – and also no triangles to cut! Great for using up those layer cakes that are maybe looking to be used.
