Out & About

4_jh104-02-monkey-exhibitionWe enjoyed meeting Karen Nicol at the beginning of the month in her basement studio, and now you can meet her amazing  group of monkeys  “Singerie”;  some are living in lovely antique frames ready for display at the exhibition, and for the others we can enjoy seeing the wide array of textiles that Karen has used to create them, including fabric with tattoos, and boats inspired by the Bosphorus.

TV Inspiration:

Channel 5 last night showed part 1 of a film entitled  Henry and Anne (that’s Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn) showing Hampton Court Palace and Hever Castle;  well we have been to both with the cameras with the videos still here on the site for you to enjoy.

And the Great British Sewing Bee is off again (!) but Valerie was more interested in the bunting that was decorating The One Show studio;   if you too want to make some we have a quick link:

Workshops
