In Jennie’s latest book – Stitch Bits – see what our twiddler and fiddler has been up to – very few twiddles in sight but a great selection of projects to use fabric bits!
Another book we learn more about this week, is Linda Seward’s latest entitled The Ultimate Guide to Art Quilting, which includes over 1000 illustrated techniques. We also get to enjoy some of Linda’s own samples that she made for the book under expert tuition.
Did you catch Linda at the London Quilters exhibition – Coming Home? It’s a really enjoyable show and the quilts include personal memories and stories and Linda shares these with us on the tour.
Kate Crossley – last year’s award winning artist in the Quilt Creations section of the Festival of Quilts with her wonderful Grandfather clock (and we wish her luck the piece she has submitted to Festival this year) – shares with us how to make a simple Journal in which to house your inspiration.
She also has on offer a kit and you will get all you need to have a go at making a small hardback journal (it’s even precut!) so that you can start straight away.
Whilst there does seem to be a book theme going on here, Valerie continues with her passion for patchwork with a simple Stretched Churn Dash quilt workshop and help with a Trip Around the World border which can add a visual twist to your quilt as well as get you out of trouble if you don’t have as much fabric left as you thought you might have!

This month make an early start with Christmas with Annie Down’s lovely book – A Christmas Story. A mixture of applique and stitching combine in these lovely projects, which do include a quilt a well as lots of smaller ideas for gifts and use around the house
