Valerie is the founder and Creative Director and founder of justhands-on.tv , as well as our very own 'Queen of Scrap'.
Carolyn is an accomplished quilt maker, teacher and author of several books and patterns. Carolyn has been sewing quilts for over 20 years and just loves using up scraps. She is constantly inspired by vintage quilt blocks she finds on her travels and she brings them up-to-date with modern construction techniques – stitch n’ flip and Quilting on the Go are two of her favourites.
Kate Percival’s hand stitching techniques have been an inspiration for many quilters. Kate designs all the projects that she teaches. She aims to create patterns that are fun, easy for even a complete novice but engrossing enough for the more experienced.
Carolyn is an experienced tutor in computerised design and computerised sewing machines. Her interest in textile arts started with silk painting where she painted with French dyes and experimented with different silk fibres and fabrics. When Carolyn was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, she started using computerised design programmes to make her life easier. This grew into a passion for pushing the boundaries of embroidery software, using it in unusual ways and being very creative with the software and embroidery machines.
Kathleen is a freelance designer and embroiderer producing a wide range of innovative textile works. She enjoys blending traditional techniques with contemporary designs and unusual mediums to construct beautiful textiles -- from floral patterns in organza to goldwork.
Sarah is an accomplished quilter and regularly teaches classes and workshops at Pauline’s Patchwork in Dorchester, Festival of Quilts and venues across the south of England. She also gives talks to quilt groups, showing off her extensive collection of quilts.
