Videos were available from 16th December. On Friday, December 16th, we met Goldwork expert Kathleen Laurel Sage again. She took us through a highly informative workshop on applying purls, wires, and chippings to your designs. We got a handy free video tip from Jennie Rayment about making your Rotary Blades last slightly longer.
Then a week later, we had a free video we had recorded live at the West Country Quilt and Textile Show in Bristol last month. It featured interviews with North Somerset Quilters and Ferreted with her Long Arm Quilter. We made it, especially for our Facebook live feed. Also, we had a real treat from the archive. We re-visited The Welsh Quilt Centre in Lampeter and were shown around a stunning Kaffe Fassett quilt exhibition by Welsh Quilt Centre curator Jen Jones.
On Friday, December 30th, as we recovered from Christmas, we had another film recorded live at the West Country Quilt Show for Facebook. This time our intrepid reporter took on the Clothes Horse Challenge. She zipped around multiple stands trying on some lovely hats and clothes. We also have our final film of 2016. That is a fascinating interview featuring renowned British quilter Chris Porter and Chinese Quilter Angel Yuan Yuan, with whom Chris recently collaborated.
