Description
A comprehensive workshop from Kathleen in her introduction to goldwork series. Here she shows you how to create a delightful Bumblebee with texture in the body created from the purl and check wires, which she admits is a little fiddly, but very straightforward and worth taking a little time over.
Kathleen likes to have her work in a small hoop and also talks about beading needles.
You get to use the couching method, that Kathleen talks about in this video, to neaten off the body, and then you can give definition to the wings with simple long stitches.
Finally, Kathleen talks about using acrylic paint to quickly fill in the space for the head.
