We had a great day as always and some great workshops were filmed; Chris shared with us her love of Flying Geese and Dresden Plates, for which she has designed her own templates, as well as showing us how to put a sleeve on the back of a quilt, which she personalises with text and lovely pics too. Valerie gets ready to sew some Yo-Yo's and Mary reminded us how great she is at transfer printing with woven strips, printing blocks and lace (all of which are in her book - Transfer Painting) so keep watching!

We had a lovely day in the studio filming and meeting with Mary Gamester.
Mary is well known for her work with transfer paints and she was kind enough to do a short workshop for us using a snowflake template. We also took the opportunity to see lots more of Mary’s work, which she teaches not only at her own studio

but also around the country and she is part of the Missenden Abbey Summer School programme – so you can join her there.

An amazing time was had by all at the West Country Quilt show last weekend - 11/12 and 13th Nov Valerie's demonstrations of scrap quilts, table runners and crazy patchwork were very popular and we got to meet and interview some of our regular contributors like Kate Findlay, the Stitch Witch, Vanessa from Lady Sew and Sew, Izzy from Creative Quilting, Angela Daymond, Nancy Adamek, Chris Porter and Mary Gamester to name a few.
