What are you up to this weekend?

I see that Sarah Soward (of Pauline's Patchwork in Poundbury Dorset) is busy giving a Bargello quilt workshop;   Quilts UK is being held at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern and I am off to join Jennie (Rayment) and Wendy (Gardiner) at their Sewing Getaway in Dunford House, Midhurst. I am joining a class with Jenni Stuart-Anderson and she is going to help us all make Raggy Bags and Eco Rugs;  I have LOTS of scraps so am hoping she will be able to show me how to make good use of them.

Filming at Bee Crafty in Huntingdon

Dave and Matt will be doing all the important stuff today but we have plans to wander round the shop and find out just how much crafty stuff Julie and Sarah can hold.   We will also be meeting up with some great tutors:  Gina Ferrari, Jill Adamson and Tanyia Haines - so we will be covering beading, free motion textile embroidery, twisted bargello at least.

News update October 2011

Val: Wow this month seems to be rushing by - I suppose that’s what happens if you take a few days off; we had a lovely few days in France and the weather was superb. This Saturday, 22nd, you will find me at the Second Southampton Quilting & Textile Art Fair being held in aid of The Society of St.James (which is a Southampton Charity) and The Goedgedacht Project (a South African charity) at the King Edward VI School in Southampton (SO15 5UQ)– it runs from 10am-3pm and as well as traders there are displays - with the theme of ‘Africa’- and demonstrations; so do come along and say hello.
