Strip Pieced quilt with the cylinder method of patchwork
This is another of those strip pieced quilts that makes the most of the combination of a rotary cutter and a sewing machine. The workshop shows you how to make the basic Trip Around the World quilt. We use the cylinder method of construction, which is covered in the techniques section of the site, and also mentions fast turning to complete the quilt, which will be coming soon.
The book by Eleanor Burns – Quick Trip Around the World – gives more alternative designs and settings.
If you like this form of strip piecing, it is also used in the Bargello style of work.
And we have a quick search for strip piecing on the left hand side of the page.
