Description
With Autumn well and truly upon us we have a wide range of projects this month to inspire and keep you busy. These include some for Christmas, which always seem to take longer than you think.
Gail Penberthy has returned to the Justhands-on.tv studios to share super Pyramid Advent boxes, which could make an ideal alternative to Christmas crackers, tree or table decorations. She also presents a new snowman door wreath entitled ‘Heads up’, click here to watch.
Still on a Christmas theme, Sallieann Harrison shows us how to embroider the top of a different sort of wreath that is really a sewing caddy, to open click here. It both festive and useful at the same time. There is also more embroidery with Angela Daymond working with Kantha stitching, so click here.
Paula Doyle features this month with her amazing Easy Stack quilts idea. These use large scale printed fabrics to create stunning kaleidoscope style patchwork blocks with very little effort. And we have more inspiration on this theme in our Technique Thursday slot.
This month Valerie Nesbitt brings us this Snowball and shoofly patchwork workshop, shows us how to create a Bright Hope Block, which has an interesting twist effect to it. She also guides us in how to make a lovely blue quilt which uses the Tomten range of fabrics designed by Lewis & Irene, to watch click here.
