Quilt Museum and Gallery – St Anthony’s Hall, York

The Quilt Museum and Gallery is the national headquarters of The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles. Its extensive collection of quilts and quilt related artefacts.

The Quilt Museum and Gallery is the UK’s only museum with exclusively to quilting and textile arts. It is in historic St Anthony’s Hall, York.

The Museum used to be a workhouse for the poor, then a magazine store during the reign of Charles I. Then a military hospital, following a prison, and a school.  The beautiful medieval spaces have been restored and adapted to accommodate the Museum and its wide range of displays and activities.
