Description

Creating a patchwork quilt from scraps is not only pleasing to the eye, but also gives a great sense of ‘something for nothing’. Of course, you have to put a bit of time and effort into making the quilt, which should certainly not be valued as ‘nothing’.

In this little workshop Valerie shares with you an idea for using up lots of scraps that had first been made into a braid. And if you want to see more on how to do this, we have a great workshop on Scrap Braid that can also include Chimney Stones. She shares with you something to think about when adding the braid to your quilt. First adding some strips of plain fabric to make the braids wider and what to do about those pointy bits, and then on how to add these to your project.
