TASTER: Beginner Patchwork Sampler Quilt with Sallieann Harrison - Block 6
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 29-Oct-2021
Create the fan with a series of petals. You will easily sew them together in an arc, then attach them to a background block. You can do this either with the sewing machine, or by hand, which Sallieann demonstrates, and then she also gives you a design option of adding a heart in fused applique – the technique for which was used in a Four Hearts workshop in this series.
Sallieann also introduces you to using freezer paper as a template.
Fabric
Fabric requirements are listed in our Promo video for this series – click here for details
You can find the same colourway of Fat 8ths featured in this video (Forest Fruits) as well as 7 other colourways that the quilt would look equally stunning in at Oakshott Fabrics. For more ideas and inspiration, click here
Finished size approx 60″ x 70″
This block, along with all the others in sampler series, can be repeated to create a quilt in their own right. Just make lots either in the same colourway, or various.
