Description
Claire Campion discusses how she quilts her inspirational quilts on a domestic sewing machine. Particularly how using a grid pattern builds a spectacular all over effect.
She shows us a variety of quilts and how her straight forward walking foot quilting produces modern patterns.
The techniques used produce Echo curves, Double boomerang and simple grid patterns. Indeed the simple use of the width of the walking foot as a guide produces excellent results.
Contrasting or matching thread can help to highlight or hide the quilting and Claire emphasises the importance of the right thread for the project.
