March is the month that we spring forward an hour, so bring on the sunshine.
Sallieann Harrison shares with us her Sunny Dresden quilt, which has petals that she makes on the machine. Then she uses appliqué to finish.
Lorna Bateman returns with her inspiring Silk Ribbon Roses embroidery workshop. She has some wonderful packs of silk ribbon on offer as our product of the month. We also have Fly Stitch embroidery from Niamh Wimperis.
Valerie Nesbitt’s lovely tulip log cabin patchwork design is perfect for spring. And Lesley Brankin guides us through the world of Japanese Folded patchwork, where you make both sides of your quilt at once.
Our technique Thursday this month is a comprehensive tutorial from Craig Joubert on Marbling, a remarkable technique that produces exquisite and original fabric designs easily and instantly. It would be great for the family to work on during the holidays.
Jane Czaja continues her crochet series for us with the first of several workshops on how to make crochet Hexagons. Fiona Goble shows us some of her knitted Amigurumi pets.
With Easter just around the corner we return to The Indian Block Print Co. with a workshop from Tess Grace to produce lovely block printed Easter cards.

About the Tutor
Valerie is the founder and Creative Director of justhands-on.tv , as well as our very own ‘Queen of Scrap’. She founded Creative Quilting, a quilt shop in Hampton Court, where she still teaches to this day.
Niamh Wimperis is one of the most colourful and dynamic embroidery artists currently practicing. She appeared on the BBC2 programme, The Victorian House of Arts and Crafts.
Fiona teaches knitting and sewing classes, and is the author of several bestselling knitting books, including: Knit Your Own Dolls, Knitted Animal Nursery, Knitted Animal Cozies, Knitted Animal Scarves, Mitts, and Socks. She started writing knitting patterns because she couldn’t find any that she really liked.
Tess Grace is a block printing tutor who has a passion for pattern, printing, and crafting.
Crochet is Jane’s passion. She is a technical editor for “Inside Crochet” magazine, and runs regular crochet workshops so others can learn and be inspired.
Teaching and sharing her designs and embroidery techniques is Lorna’s passion. She loves all forms of 3-dimensional, raised and textured embroidery and tries to encompass as many of these in her designs as possible.
Sallieann enjoys traditonal quilting techniques and has won several quilt show awards in the UK and the USA. Be sure to check out her wool applique projects using a blend of hand and machine sewing.
Craig Joubert has been marbling since 1992 and loves to share his passion for marbling art with anyone willing to learn a new skill. He tells us that it might look complicated, but it is easy to do. Every design is unique. And it is fun to do for most ages.
