Description
We wander around a lovely exhibition on tour called “Glimpses of Britain,” featuring the work of Gail Lawther, in which she captures the appeal of these complex islands in a series of quilts with Valerie acting as our guide. Also, Valerie brings us a new workshop creating bound cushions designed by Lynne Goldsworthy using a fun new panel and fabrics from Makower called Fruity Friends.
Our Throwback, Thursday feature on April 12th is another classic workshop from Jennie Rayment, where she uses scraps of fabric to create her Suffolk puffs (or Yo-Yo-s) and then makes her Caterpillar.
Then, our new Knitting tutor, Sarah Hatton, shows us how to do circular knitting. That is not as scary as it sounds and avoids sewing up seams later. And also, we are back with Paula Doyle in part one of her American Hand Piecing series to create a delightful little 4-block quilt.
