Description
We have a wide range of styles of workshop this month to help you banish the winter blues. We start off with simple embroidery stitches being used on pre-printed fabrics, click here to watch this video. This is an idea from our expert Royal School of Needlework tutor, Kate Barlow. She also explains that this is a great for all those cross-stitch addicts.
The Technique Thursday slot has Tess Grace from The Indian Block Print Co. showing us the basics of Block Printing, which she loves and is passionate about. We will be enjoying more workshops with her in the months ahead.
Our crochet expert, Jane Czaja, shows us how to produce a lovely crochet bracelet quickly and easily. It is great for all age groups to make. The supercreative Linda Seward returns with a workshop showing us how to create unusual and fascinating Soft Sculpture Faces.
Valerie Nesbitt has a workshop on how to use the Pineapple Patchwork acrylic ruler, to open click here. She loves using it on her scraps. Valerie also shares how to have really accurate sashing in your patchwork, click here.

About the Tutor
Valerie is the founder and Creative Director of justhands-on.tv , as well as our very own ‘Queen of Scrap’. She founded Creative Quilting, a quilt shop in Hampton Court, where she still teaches to this day.
Jennie is a world renown quilt teacher, lecturer, author of nine quilt books and numerous patterns. From Houston to Qatar, Durban to Melbourne, Auckland and many other international cities, Jennie has wowed them all with her superb teaching style and hilarious lectures all laced with wit, charm and professional expertise.
Tess Grace is a block printing tutor who has a passion for pattern, printing, and crafting.
Crochet is Jane’s passion. She is a technical editor for “Inside Crochet” magazine, and runs regular crochet workshops so others can learn and be inspired.
Kate is a Royal School of Needlework trained tutor who loves using traditional techniques in a contemporary way
Carolyn is an accomplished quilt maker, teacher and author of several books and patterns. Carolyn has been sewing quilts for over 20 years and just loves using up scraps. She is constantly inspired by vintage quilt blocks she finds on her travels and she brings them up-to-date with modern construction techniques – stitch n’ flip and Quilting on the Go are two of her favourites.
