You will have the chance to spend one day with each tutor, stashbusting or using vintage materials for a weekend of recycling and upcycling inspiration.
Use Up, Re-Use, Recycle And Upcycle with Paula Doyle
Paula will be teaching you how to make quilts using up even the tiniest leftover bits of wadding, fabrics harvested from old shirts and jeans, fat ¼’s and charm squares. You can choose from 5 stunning stashbusting patterns. She will also introduce you to her new exciting way to use T-shirts to make cuddly and artistic Personali-Tee quilts. All the quilt patterns will come with the option of piecing them using conventional piecing methods or specially designed quilt as you go methods. So come along and bring your stash and let’s have some fun together!
Upcycling Vintage with Sallieann Harrison
Get those treasured pieces of Grandma’s embroidery and make them into something new and exciting! Add vintage pieces to fabrics from your stash to create a vintage style folded cushion, a circular pincushion, or even start a centre for a medallion style quilt. Demonstrations will cover stabilising vintage embroidery, piecing & appliqué skills, and even a little free motion! Don’t worry if you can’t find a previously loved piece. Sallieann will have her stash of vintage table linens for you to buy at a small additional cost. Perfect for beginner and intermediate quilters alike. Serious upcycling fun!!
An Recycling weekend for £375 per person
Classes will take place in the hotel from 10 – 4 on Saturday and 10 – 4 on Sunday AND you can sew until late, late, late on Saturday evening if you want.
Lunch and refreshments will be served both days including a buffet lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and a buffet lunch on Sunday.

Materials are not included in the cost of the retreat. If appropriate, a requirements list will be sent to you near to the date of your retreat.

If a retreat is cancelled because of coronavirus guidelines, you will have the option to (1) stay with your select retreat which will be rescheduled for later in the year or next year, (2) switch your booking to one of our other retreats, or (3) receive a full refund.
