This is another of those basic knitting techniques that you will find extremely useful.
Description
Like the 1×1 Rib stitch, this is a combination of knit stitch and purl stitch. But this time you are doing two of each. Again this is often used on the lower edge of knitted garments to provide a neat but stretchy edge. You can use it also on cuffs and around the neckline.
Rosee is showing how to create this effect, and has a great tip on identifying which stitch is which. This way, you know when you need to knit and when to purl.
AND she has another great tip on how to avoid a baggy purl stitch – and no-one wants to have a baggy stitch now do they!!!
