This is another of those basic knitting techniques that you will find extremely useful.
Like the 1×1 Rib stitch, this is a combination of knit stitch and purl stitch, but this time you are doing two of each; again this is often used on the lower edge of knitted garments to provide a neat but stretchy edge and also on cuffs and around the neckline.
Rosee not only shows you how to create this effect, but also has a great tip on identifying which stitch is which so that you know when you need to knit and when to purl;
AND she has another great tip on how to avoid a baggy purl stitch – and no-one wants to have a baggy stitch now do they!!!
