Sue Rhodes has given a modern update to The New York Beauty block. She adds a rectangle and then twists four round a centre square using the partial seam technique.
This block is created with foundation piecing and curved piecing. The pattern comes with full size templates for you to use.
Sue says this pattern is suitable for intermediates and ambitious beginners. Once you have mastered these small projects you could move on to make a much larger quilt – it is after all just more blocks!
