Description

The Nottage is a local maritime museum located on Wivenhoe Quay, with a fine collection of paintings, photographs and models all with local connections and  is becoming known for summer exhibitions. To learn more you can visit their website:

https://www.nottagemaritimeinstitute.org.uk/.

This year textile artist Janet Harker organised the exhibition. She also has work on show in the exhibition.

Valerie introduces you to several of the artists whose work was on display. Also, you can see they are a varied, talented and eclectic group – including a milliner.

For more information on Annie Bielecka-Jones you can enjoy an interview with her here. Or you can go straight to her website: www.anniebielecka.co.uk.

In addition, if you are interested in seeing more of the work by Eliza Kentridge, visit her website by clicking here.

We have interviews with Susan Rhodes and Janet Harker still to edit, so you will be able to learn more about both of them soon.
