Sit in on this entertaining talk with Carolyn and Jennie to learn how to use photo manipulation for creative inspiration.
In this video, Carolyn will walk you through how to use the basic features on photo manipulation software. This includes changing colours, stretching, posturising, and applying a range of filters to distort and create mosaic effects. Also, Carolyn and Jennie talk through how to print off your designs and turn them into stitches.
You can use these creative ideas for cards, embroidery, patchwork, beading and any craft you love.
And remember, you should always save your ideas under different file names. So, that you don’t lose any of your design ideas.

Carolyn is an experienced tutor in all makes of embroidery software and machines. In addition, she has had many articles published on these subjects. Carolyn enjoys pushing the boundaries of embroidery software, using it in unusual ways. It is very creative with the software and embroidery machines. Moreover, she writes regularly for Sewing World, Flair, Sew Today and Popular Patchwork magazines. Also, she is supported by all major manufacturers – Janome, Bernina, Brother, Pfaff, Elna and Husqvarna Viking.
Carolyn teaches a series of day courses, with another tutor to assist, at the very comfortable Royal Southern Yacht Club, Hamble, Hampshire with beautiful views over the river Hamble to inspire creativity! These one day courses cover topics including:

- “designing your own designs on the computer
