This lovely quilt was designed by Lynne Goldsworthy for us with the Walk in the Park range of fabrics from Makower, together with the lovely co-ordinating panel.
A great use of the panel that co-ordinates this range of fabrics. Lynne has designed the quilt so that you can cut the panel up into small sections, which you then build by adding simple borders so that they match the size of your chain block.
Valerie Nesbitt guides you through some of the steps to create both the panel blocks and the chain blocks, adding in a couple of helpful tips to keep you straight!
And another tip is that the panel blocks need to be the same size as your chain blocks, so make sure these are made and measured before you trim the blocks to size.
If you want to make a smaller quilt, you could make a 9 block quilt – which would mean 4 patch blocks and 5 chains (or the other way round) plus simple borders.
