Description

Simple tucks in two directions create this delightful picture.  Taken from her Tucks and Textures book, Jennie shares with us how to create a delightful landscape style wall hanging (or cushion) and suggests this is a great way to use up some old furnishing fabric.

You could add a little extra floral decoration by using Broiderie Perse. This is a simple form of applique where you cut out the pre-printed design. Also, by using shadow applique you don’t need to sew round the edges of the inserted flowers – clever trick.

(Jennie has a complete workshop on Broiderie Perse if you enjoy this idea)

A word of warning though – do pay attention to the direction you need to cut your squares!
