This traditional style of stitching is very easy to do and great for all those who love handwork.
Angela talks you through how to create this lovely project (and there is a companion Heron also available in kit form in the shop; she likes to use woad dyed fabric, which she creates herself (and pieces are in the kit too).
In the workshop she talks about the styles of stitching, the regional differences, what threads she prefers, together with the relevant needles.
Traditionally this work had no wadding, so it is very easy to stitch and Angela also gives tips on how to layer up and what to consider if, like her, you like to use recycled fabrics.
We are thrilled to tell you that Angela will be joining us at a quilt retreat in March 2018 at the beautiful Cotswold Water Park in Cirencester for a Kantha weekend and if you would like to learn more about this – just click here.
