Description
Paula shares with us this lovely quilt pattern, that is based on the simple 9-patch block and uses clever colour placement to create the woven effect.
She works with 8 different fabrics, plus the background. In this workshop she talks you through the cutting, the sewing sequence, pressing and then putting the blocks together. Because the pressing sequence has been pre-thought, it will give you perfect and precise joins.
The edges of the quilt use half-square triangles to create the points, and Paula shares with you her love of using the Thangles method because that means you can use the same strip of fabrics you have already cut – namely 2.5″ wide.
Once done, you can think about the quilting, and the suggestion from Paula is to use your walking foot, some decorative thread AND one of the decorative stitches on your machine.
