June is a 5 Friday month, so we have even more great videos for you to enjoy.
Sallieann Harrison is here with her lovely felt appliqué London Soldier design and with the help of her sewing machine and thick thread, creates this iconic image.
Carolyn Forster is back in the studio showing us this lovely Hexagon Sunflower block, which uses her acrylic templates so can be rotary cut for speed and accuracy and then hand or machine pieced.
Valerie Nesbitt shares with us this Pinwheel in Pieces design, which she and her quilting friends have found super inspirational and can be put together in a wide variety of setting designs, so no two quilts will be the same, and later in the month we get to enjoy a show and tell style workshop from Valerie using the design called Take 5
Lorna Bateman is showing us her embroidery drizzle stitch which she has used to create the sheep on this lovely pincushion.
And our Tip Thursday features textile artist, Dionne Swift, showing us how she mixes colours using the sewing machine as her paint brush.

About the Tutor
Valerie is the founder and Creative Director of justhands-on.tv , as well as our very own ‘Queen of Scrap’. She founded Creative Quilting, a quilt shop in Hampton Court, where she still teaches to this day.
Dionne paints with stitches to create dynamic, vibrantly coloured textiles. Her needle becomes her pen and thread her ink. The scale, emotion, and energy of her landscapes are inspirational.
Carolyn is an accomplished quilt maker, teacher and author of several books and patterns. Carolyn has been sewing quilts for over 20 years and just loves using up scraps. She is constantly inspired by vintage quilt blocks she finds on her travels and she brings them up-to-date with modern construction techniques – stitch n’ flip and Quilting on the Go are two of her favourites.
Teaching and sharing her designs and embroidery techniques is Lorna’s passion. She loves all forms of 3-dimensional, raised and textured embroidery and tries to encompass as many of these in her designs as possible.
Sallieann enjoys traditonal quilting techniques and has won several quilt show awards in the UK and the USA. Be sure to check out her wool applique projects using a blend of hand and machine sewing.
