Description

February in the UK is often very dull and grey but we had lots to inspire you that month.

Valerie returned with her Take 9 quilting project, which uses up a bundle of 9 Fat 1/4,’s. You can find this workshop by clicking here. Jennie Rayment twiddled and fiddled again to create a lovely 3D Lily block. This video is available on our website, just click here.

Our Product of the month was the extremely useful Iron Caddy tote bag pattern which not only allows you to carry your iron around safely, even when warm but also provides you with a small ironing surface. So it’s perfect for all of you who attend workshops. Valerie guided you through some of the steps to make your own. If you want to make the same Iron Caddy tote bag, click here.

For the embroiderers amongst you, we were featuring stumpwork with professional embroiderer Kelley Aldridge. She didn`t only give us a little insight into the history of this traditional form of embroidery, but also took us through the steps to create the 3D work. You can enjoy this video by clicking here.

If you enjoy colouring in, then the workshop with Lee Brown will be perfect. There she showed you how to create beautiful flower designs using Markel pens which you can then use to make some lovely cushions.

And our colleague Sue Rhodes had returned from the USA with inspiration from the big apple, and shared her New York Beauty workshop which includes a great tip on fast piecing it. This workshop is also available on our website, just click here.
