This is a delightful old-fashioned style pattern, but bring it right up-to-date with modern fabrics.
Description
Start with a Jelly roll
The scrap samples shown were all made by starting with a strip roll (jelly roll) as the fabrics in these are already cut to the required width! All you need to do then is cut them into squares of 2 ½” so you are half-way there!
Or raid your stash
Alternatively, you could raid your stash and select a wide variety of fabrics. After selection you should cut these into 2 ½” strips and then cut the squares. Remember to create the pattern, which you need contrast with the background, and the triple chain contrast with each other. Different colourways is the simplest way to reach it.
To find out how to do the triple border with 9 patch corners you need to view part 7 of our Rosebud Fayre Block of the Month.
