Description
Jamie loves to share her passion about block printing and shows Valerie how versatile and exciting this can be. This ancient art of textile printing is still practised in many part of the world, but particularly in Jaipur, which Jamie loves to visit.
The blocks are varied not only in design but also in how they can be used. They can be used to print onto pretty much anything. Jamie shows how the fabric paint, which is water based, is absorbed by the fabric so that the fabric remains soft to the touch and child-safe.
The fabric once created can, of course, be turned into a huge variety of projects – from clothing to home dec cushions and cushions, from Ipad covers to small clutch purses and so on.
