Description

Kate is a member of the Thames Valley Contemporary Quilters, which in turn is part of the Quilters Guild of the British Isles. She has a day-job of being a primary school teacher, but her love of textiles and art clearly shines through her work.

As an artist she combines her love of drawing with her textiles and finds that using fusible bondaweb works really well for her.

And what about her interest in fibre optics? It is very interesting!

You can learn more about Kate’s Hadron Collider series of quilts in a video we shot when they were on display at the warehouse of Lady Sew and Sew in Henley – just click here.

Quilts in the background were from our stand and include Silent Christmas workshop using Stof fabrics, Thangles Sampler using Flurry fabrics and the Crazy quilt made with Kaffe Fassett fabrics from Lady Sew and Sew.

To find out more about Kate and indeed her latest work you can also go to her website.
