Adding borders

This is the final stage of making the quilt top: adding two borders.

The first can be as a single strip with cornerstones or you could echo the sashing and put this around – this is a thought when you only have smaller pieces of fabric left.

Cornerstone options

Cornerstones add accuracy to your work by allowing you to have something to match up.

Joining for your Border

The main border will need to either be joined (as the fabric is not long enough to go from edge to edge of your quilt) and we give a couple of options for this. Again cornerstones add accuracy and an interesting design element.
