A great beginners quilt with some challenging patchwork options. Block 2: Dresden Plate and options.
Description
Block 2 of Rosebud Fayre Medallion Quilt
Quilters use the Dresden Plate, a very traditional design, in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. For this project, Jennie and Valerie use the East Dresden template. Also, they show the option to use the Grandmother’s Fan design instead, and other options for the centre.
To learn more about the Dresden Plates, there are two comprehensive workshops for you: first and second.
In addition, if you’re interested in the method of appliqué used, you can check out the workshop here. It is from Dawn Cameron-Dick using her Invisible Machine Applique method which she has perfected.
