Invisible Machine Applique allows you to create the look of hand work but with your sewing machine:   Dawn shows you how to set your machine to the correct stitch (and she covers all sorts of machines and stitches so your’s is bound to be there).

You also need to be able to see well with an open-toed applique foot.   If you don’t have one they are available in the shopping pages: click here

If you would like to know more about the Curved Drunkards Path workshop that Dawn is referring to, it is in our archive section – but you can still enjoy it by clicking here.

More About Dawn Cameron-Dick

Dawn is a self-taught quilter who has been making quilts for over 30 years. She has been a quilting teacher and lecturer for the last 26 years and was voted Runner-up UK Teacher of the Year in 1999.

A very traditional quilter, Dawn uses modern products to produce her “signature” technique, Invisible Machine Appliqué, which is done on a machine, but produces perfect, hand-done-looking appliqué.

If you have enjoyed this technique with Dawn, why not consider inviting her to teach your group, or in your shop – she isn’t afraid of travelling!- and she has a vaste trunk full of quilts to share with you if you invite her to lecture.
