Tanya says about herself:

I grew up in South Africa and have been stitching and knitting since childhood. However, it wasn’t until I moved to England that a whole new world of needlework opened up to me. So, I started teaching about 14 years ago.

I love all forms of needlework, but particularly enjoy the challenge of designing. Often the colour of a particular thread or piece of fabric will provide the inspiration for a particular design. I also like to incorporate many of the old stitching techniques found in traditional samplers.
