Jelly Roll Pzazz with Valerie Nesbitt
Valerie Nesbitt is the Creative Director and founder of justhands-on.tv and our very own ‘Queen of Scrap’. This weekend Valerie offers you inspiration for using those jelly rolls that have been waiting for the right project; but of course you can raid your stash and bring a selection of 2.5in strips. There will be a choice of Jelly Jazz (below) or a Jelly roll Mystery quilt – both delightful small lap quilts; and if you have a few spare moments left on the Sunday, you could try her 40minute quilt!
Journal Maps with Susan Rhodes
Susan Rhodes is a textile artist and teacher. She will introduce you to Journal Maps, a way of capturing your own personal memories of events and places – a favourite walk, the streets around your home, a special holiday, a celebration. Your map will explore the space in which your special times happened, starting with layering and piecing and then adding detail with luscious threads and stitches.
