Description
What a wonderful range of products there are now in the qult shops to help us make our patchwork projects with ease and get a better result.
Here are just a few that Valerie feels are particularly useful (and she uses too!)
Extra Fine pins – by Clover – these will help you make your patchwork piecing more precise as they don’t distort the fabric at the seam junctions
Heat Press – a easy way to join your wadding pieces, – even polyester! – so you can use up all those bits (saves time on the traditional way of sewing them together – which when Valerie started patchwork was the only way of getting pieces big enough for your quilt!)
Unpick with eraser – Seamfix – this helps you get rid of those little straggly bits of threads that are left when you unpick (happens to be best of us!)
Large version
Small version (sold individually – pot luck on colour!)
Best Press – this is such a great product because it makes your patchwork block look superb! – a light starch style spray that leaves no residue
Linen Fresh
Scent Free
Lavendar fields
Pins with Numbers – helps you to keep your blocks and rows in order – one for the gadget minded.
All these should be available in your local shop, but if not them click through to find them with us.
Happy Sewing.
