CALLING ALL QUILTERS….
Inspired by the extraordinary quilts on social media during lock down, our friends at ECT Travel have decided to bring them all together in one glorious on-line gallery. They are inviting quilters across the globe to send in images of their quilting projects. They are looking for everything from wall hangings and bed covers to bags, cushions, scrubs and masks– if it’s quilted, they would love to see it – made either on the theme of travel or created during lock down.
HOW TO ENTER
Simply email up to two entries per person to them at newsdesk@ecttravel.com by midnight on Friday 24th July 2020.
Images must be jpg or png and please include the title/s of the work/s, a brief (30 words) description, along with your name, geographical location/quilt club and email contact.
WHEN DOES THE ‘FESTIVAL’ GO LIVE?
The Festival will launch online Monday 3rd August 2020 and they will inform you by email so you can look and share all of the amazing quilts gathered.
Once the Festival opens, they will select some of their favourite works and invite the creators to talk to them about their work on their blog and feature them in their Newsletter.
They want this to be a real celebration of quilting creativity, so please do spread the word using #ECTquiltfest. They tell us they are very excited to see your inspiring and beautiful designs.
