I surprised myself and finished a quilt for the charity a few days ago. I have even photoed it! Picture attached. I used a lovely piece of liberty cotton (it feels like silk!) and the remainder was pieces that I had in the house. As a dressmaker I find it hard to get my head around the concept of cutting up perfectly good cloth into little pieces and then sewing it back together. Using up scraps and worn or leftover fabric I can appreciate but as I say cutting up perfect fabric…….?
It’s lovely Mary – thank you so much; I will be passing it on to Momentum later in November after my charity sewing day for them which is Nov. 2nd and I know they will love it and give it a good home. (if anyone else would like to make one just get in touch!)
