Ribbon Roses PinCushion

Joyce made this lovely pincushion and wrote to Lorna as follows:

It is with great pleasure to tell you that I have finished the pin cushion. It is a real exquisite item. Package was really high class and I can agree that it would make a very nice present to whoever enjoys such crafts.  I enjoyed your tutorial and thank justhandsontv for presenting it to us.  I hope you enjoy my photo.     to enjoy Lorna's tutorial click here:

Ipad covers by Lyn

Hi Valerie...attached a couple of pics..I pad & laptop covers...enjoyed making the seminole bags & we enclosed clever plastic coated magnets inside the flap to close...Lyn     We are looking into whether or not the magnets will be a problem for Ipads and/or other computerized items - in the meantime perhaps velcro would be safer?!

Greg’s Quilt by Tina

This lovely quilt was made with a machine quilt-as-you- technique in vertical strips which were then sashed and Tina made the clever decision to make the sashing scrappy;         This is a technique we will be sharing with you but what a great quilt this turned out to be Tina.

Tumbling Blocks by Machine

I am so pleased to finish my tumbling blocks with Jenny's help. I liked the hand sewing one too and might try it later on.   from Joyce   So by hand or by machine the blocks still look good - well done Joyce.

Bargello Tablemat/Runner

Thank you for setting the bargello pattern up for me. After having a look at it I had a play and made a table mat which then turned into a table runner.  Here is a picture of it. I shall do a demo of this on Monday evening and hope to get lots made to sell at St Michael's Hospice in November.

Ipad Cover a great success

I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and also to share my completed i pad cover with you, which is a gift for my neighbour for Christmas.
I found the instructions easy and the end result looks a lot more complicated than it actually was.  Fabrics found in the Lady Sew and Sew Warehouse in Henley.

Many thanks for the continuing inspiration, I've only been quilting for eighteen months and find your website very helpful for techniques, tips and inspiration.

Best wishes,

Roberta
