Videos were available from 16 September. On Friday September 16th, we featured a lovely workshop from our very own Valerie Nesbitt, about creating a beautiful Spa Quilt. We enjoyed the company of Jennie Rayment. She told us all about using a sewing machine to sew Hexagons together in this extremely useful technique video.
Then a week later on Friday September 23rd, we reached part 12 of Jennie Rayment’s Stripy, Stripey, Story Quilt. Last time we created the soft waves rolling up the beach. So now in part 12, we created some rather lovely sailing boats to crest those waves. We also took a sneaky look at something Christmasy, it’s never too early you know, with a quilt that uses a range of fabrics called Silent Christmas from Danish company Stof.
And on the last Friday of the month, 30th September, Valerie presented us with a Thangles 12 block sampler quilt using some rather nice Dashwood fabrics called Flurry. As well as a very useful tip in a completely FREE video on using braids for your quilt borders.
